This Privacy Policy explains how Sudoku Breeze ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our data practices.

The short version: Your game data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or have access to your personal puzzle progress or statistics on our servers.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Sudoku Breeze stores the following information directly on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device:

• Game State: Current puzzle grid, solution, move history (up to 500 moves), elapsed time, and mistake count.
• User Statistics: Total games played and completed, best completion times per difficulty level, total time played, total mistakes made, and hints used.
• App Settings: Preferences for haptic feedback, timer visibility, error-checking modes, pencil marks visibility, and theme selection (Light/Dark mode).
• Premium Status: Whether you have purchased the Premium upgrade (verified through the App Store/Play Store).

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Location data or GPS information
• Contact information from your device
• Photos or media from your device
• Browsing history or web activity
• Data from other apps on your device
• Health data
• Social media account information

No Account Required: Sudoku Breeze does not require you to create an account, provide an email, or log in to use the app.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party providers that may collect data according to their own policies:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

The free version of Sudoku Breeze displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Device ID / Advertising ID: Used for ad delivery, frequency capping, and attribution.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and general location (country/region) for ad targeting.
• Ad Interaction Data: Information about which ads you view or interact with.

Apple App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS devices, Sudoku Breeze implements Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You will be prompted to allow or deny tracking when the app requests access to your device's advertising identifier. You can change this setting at any time in your device's Settings.

App Store / Google Play Store

All in-app purchases are processed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We never receive or store your credit card information, payment methods, or billing details.

Expo

Sudoku Breeze is built with Expo, which may collect basic device information for app updates and crash reporting. See Expo's Privacy Policy.

Premium Features and In-App Purchases

Sudoku Breeze offers a one-time "Premium" upgrade to remove advertisements. When you make a purchase:

• Payment Processing: All transactions are handled by Apple or Google. We do not process payments directly.
• No Payment Data: We never receive your credit card number, bank account, or other payment information.
• Purchase Verification: We verify your purchase status through the respective app store to unlock premium features.
• Restore Purchases: You can restore previous purchases on new devices or after reinstalling, provided you use the same App Store/Play Store account.

Offline Functionality

Sudoku Breeze is designed to be fully functional offline. Puzzles are generated locally on your device using the Las Vegas algorithm—no internet connection is required to play.

Internet connection is only required for:

• Loading advertisements (free version)
• Making or restoring in-app purchases
• Submitting reviews to the App Store/Play Store

Your Rights and Control

Data Deletion

• Uninstall: When you uninstall Sudoku Breeze, all locally stored data (game progress, statistics, settings) is automatically deleted from your device.
• No Cloud Data: Since there is no cloud sync, there is no data on remote servers to delete.

Ad Personalization

• iOS: You can opt out of personalized ads through Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising, or deny tracking when prompted.
• Android: You can opt out through Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Your Rights Under GDPR (European Union)

If you are in the EU, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict processing
• Data portability
• Object to processing

Since all game data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect personal information directly, you have full control over your data through your device settings and by uninstalling the app.

Your Rights Under CCPA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected
• Know if personal information is sold or disclosed (we do not sell personal data)
• Opt-out of sale of personal information
• Request deletion of personal information
• Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

We do not sell your personal information. Third-party advertising partners may use device identifiers for ad personalization, which you can opt out of through your device settings.

Children's Privacy

Sudoku Breeze does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The App:

• Does not require account creation
• Does not collect personal information directly
• Stores all game data locally on the user's device
